| WalMart giving away reusable shopping bags tomorrow |

As part of Earth Month 2008, Wal-Mart and Kellogg’s will be partnering to give away one million custom-made reusable shopping bags on Saturday, April 19th at 8AM local time*.
Plastic bags can take as long as 1,000 years to degrade. Wal-Mart sells reusable shopping bags every day made from recycled materials you can use instead, for just $1.

| True Value Hardware Bargain of the Month - Free Stuff |
 I picked this up the other day and just realized I did not blog about it. True Value has these Bargains of the Month and this month it includes two free-after-rebate items that I will be using as stocking stuffers.
Each item needs its own tear-sheet rebate form (the cashier gave it to me) and its own cash register receipt.
Another good stocking stuffer idea - a roll of stamps. A bit pricey, but always a welcome and useful gift. But considering a lot of my stocking stuffer items are freebies I have picked up during the year, splurging on a roll of stamps is easy.
* Hopefully it is obvious - these are stocking stuffer ideas for adults. A utility knife would not make a good gift for a child. However, the tape measure might work for the little one...Labels: Free Sample |
