| Update from Boston Gal's HQ |
Ah, a sunny autumn day in New England. My kind of perfection.
I spent a bit of time yesterday when the weather was not so kind visiting a Dollar Tree store. It has been ages since I visited a dollar store. This one was clean and well organized with a large display of Halloween cards. At only $0.50 a pop, I grabbed ten. Enough to send each of my nieces and nephews a card as well as my parents.
Then I headed over to a local CVS store and found the Green Bag Tag to purchase. You can see the little card the tag was attached to in the above photo. When checking out my purchases the clerk at the CVS gave me a nice tip. He suggested I attach the tag to my key chain or my wallet instead of to a cloth bag (as the tag suggests). He said you can scan the tag everytime you make a purchase - even if it is just to get a soda or pack of gum. Putting your small purchase in your coat pocket or handbag works (basically just don't take one of their plastic bags). He suggested you can rack up your $0.25 extra care credits much faster that way.
While looking for the Green Bag Tag I came across a small package of Halloween themed gliders. A pack of 15 was on sale for $1.50. Perfect little gifts to send along in the Halloween cards for the kids.
Dollar Store Cards: $5.31 Halloween Gliders: $1.59 Stamps: $4.40 ------------------------ Total $11.30
Pretty inexpensive way to keep in touch with the family and hopefully the kids will get a kick out of getting mail.
Now I am off to play with the extra gliders. Did I mention what a beautiful day it is here today... |

Kids love getting mail. I'm sure they will really enjoy it. That was a very thoughtful way to spend the day. Gorgeous weather always puts me in a good mood.
