| Back to School - cheap supply shopping deals are here |
Thanks to reader Amy who sent me an email to remind me that the back to school super cheap or free school/office supply sales are here! These sales can vary by region - so you will need to check your local circulars (or go to the various stores websites and check the online circulars of the stores in your zip code).
Here are some deals Amy pointed out to me and I found after a quick review (if you are aware of other deals please let me know in the comments!):
CVS - Sale ends today, so this one you will want to hop on. Free notebook and free package of pens (free after $.99 bonus bucks - need to have signed up for a free loyalty shopping card).
Staples - Pack of copier paper (also good for the printer) and pack of pencils, each just $0.01. Sale ends tomorrow - Wednesday.
Target - Various supplies for $0.50 each (see photo below). Sale ends this week.
If you can use the items for your family great. If you don't need the items, consider picking them up anyways. Your local school, library, homeless shelter (particularly those that serve families), church office, or even your company supply closet may appreciate these items. Keep your eyes open throughout the summer since these types of deals should continue to pop-up as we get closer to September. - Enjoy! |

Page 3 of the CVS ad has more great deals that end today - Scissors, rulers, etc. And they have folders for 5 cents apiece.
When I popped in to CVS yesterday I had a good chat with the gal behind the register (art student, in college, Mom's a teacher, loved the fact that I'm donating the school supplies). I learned 2 great things from her: 1) CVS will do rain checks, and the rain checks include the Extra Bucks, so if your store is out of most things this afternoon like mine was, you can still get 'em free after Extra Bucks when the next truck comes in (Thursday in my case). 2) CVS will take expired coupons, and has eliminated their old "No more than 1 month past expiration" rule. I never knew they took any past expiration, so it was great news to me.
