Ugh, I think I will be standing in a line at 4AM Black Friday
*Sigh* It looks like I will be standing in some dark parking lot waiting in a line with a bunch of other crazy bargain shoppers this Friday (otherwise known as Black Friday). Generally I do as much of my Christmas shopping as possible online and avoid the malls. But this year I am planning on getting my parents a rather expensive gift and if I get my butt out of bed and suffer in the predawn cold I will save myself hundreds of dollars. More importantly I think they will be more willing to accept the expensive gift if they know I found a bargain.

If it works out I will let you know what I purchased...

Be ready to be dissapointed. We have done the black friday sales at the best deals for the past 4 out of 4 years (had other things occupying us last year) and from experience, there are people who start the camp out in the afternoon/evening Thanksgiving day. Those are also the people who have a line of about 10 until an hour before opening when their 50 friends join the lines in time to get the vouchers for the big ticket items. There are a lot less good deals this year which means anywhere that does have something decent will be even more difficult to get a deal at than normal.

I was going to also (ugh). Then I saw that my gift was $30 more on Costco. Sold!
