USAToday: Young people struggle to deal with kiss of debt
The USAToday companion series to the ABCNews reports - Young & In Debt - started today. It will be running for the next six weeks.

Today's article: Young people struggle to deal with kiss of debt. This article expands on the ABCNews report I posted about earlier.
"The reliance on family for this generation is very, very different from prior generations," says Jennifer Floren, CEO of Experience. "They're living under the shelter — financial and otherwise — of Mom and Dad for much longer. "

oooh, so glad they're doing this series and that you're posting about it. this is an important and scary topic. Generation Debt (the book) is a good eye-opener for anyone who hasn't read it. half of all college students don't even finish (too pricey, too hard to do while working full time, etc.), yet society continues to sell them on the idea of the golden four-year degree, when a huge percentage of jobs *don't* require a four-year degree. and then there's the credit card companies... sigh. ok, off the soapbox now. i love your blog. thanks for the great posts.
