| Competitive Consumption |
While still catching up on the news I missed while battling the flood, I came across this story in the Boston Globe Magazine: Make Way for Millionaires
It appears that while the state may be losing general population, Boston is gaining Millionaires (Hum, rich move in and middle-class move out?) Since Boston has always been an expensive place to live, who are these new Millionaire's displacing? The old-money Millionaire's of course (otherwise known as the Boston Brahmins)! In the new sport of competitive consumption Boston appears to be a ripe playing field. Very interesting (and long) article. |
