| Not Buying It if Made in China |
I was watching CBS Nightly News when a report came on about a woman who did not buy anything that was made in China for one year. It was pretty interesting what she and her family learned during that year-long experiment. Watch the video - Made in China to see how the family did.
Personally, I found the idea behind this more interesting than the Judith Levine book. |

That was a good video, I would have liked to hear more about the details and little things during her year long experiment. Definately interesting, wonder if the non-china stuff lasts longer?

I would have liked to see how much more they spent buying US only goods. Like +$100 for sunglasses and such.

Yes, this was a short news story. I do not know if she is writing a book or if this was just a personal exercise. Interesting though...

Interesting story - like the others, I wish there were more details on the financial impact to their lives.

Me and my mom only buy United States Prodcuts new to support what's left of the factories and to support the workers here. Because if you start to support where you live first and foremost it will keep jobs in our country. I buy anything that is made in another country used by going to thirft stores, garage/yard sales. But I always buy USA MADE new.

i read an article quite a while ago about how 80% of Honda cars were made in the USA, while most of chrysler car components were infact made in Germany! So even though Honda's a japanese car, its actually made in USA.
