| Why only couples USAToday? |
Just curious (ok, and a little bit miffed) as to why USAToday is only seeking couples for its money makeover series. Am I just reading too much into this? Perhaps I am still too sensitive after the recent series of studies touting how much wealthier Married folks are.
Unsure about managing your money as a couple?
I guess I should just reconcile myself to being in the minority as a single person and not be offended by things like this.
Stepping down from the soap box and putting it away now... |

I feel your pain and totally agree with you.

You're absolutely right! Can we call this relationship discrimination? We shouldn't stand for it!

It's a couples country we live in.

It could be that as a single person, your objectives should be clear. As a couple, assuming there are not multiple voices in a single person's head, there should be a compromise of objectives to achieve. I think this makes it more complicated for married people, and therefore the need for the make over...Just the two cents of 1/2 a married couple trying to figure it out...

The wealth gap between married couples and single people also shows up in this study of the Fed's Survey of Consumer Finances:
